Our Golden Oldies Day is an annual event which is a part of our Sailability program. An “Oldie” is defined as “someone who has reduced their boating due to age or health”, and the day provides these people with an opportunity to re-acquaint themselves with boating and with old friends.
The event begins mid-afternoon with a cuppa, re-acquainting, reminiscing, chatter, laughter, …. Then the focus of the day begins with a briefing and allocation to boats – and then it’s out on the water. The day is completed with more socialisation and a beautiful meal provided by the Social Subcommittee.
All members and ex-members are invited to attend as Oldies; and, as we need motor and sail boats to take the Oldies out, we encourage members who can assist in this way to participate also.
It is essential that you notify Alen Garrett at mobile 0429 417 552, or by email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest to attend in either capacity.
