Boat Registration (2017/02/09)

All members are reminded that to launch a craft of any type at the Squadron ramp, or to keep a craft in the marina it must be registered with a unique number supplied by the Squadron. The number, accompanied by “NYS”, must be displayed on the transom of the craft. There is no limit to the number of crafts a member may own but each one must have a unique number issued by the Squadron. If you do not have a number, send an email to admin@nys.org.au with a description of your craft and one will be supplied to you free. Once you have your number, it can then be supplied by BJ Clancy Printers, 66-68 McBride Avenue, Wonthaggi, for a small fee and mailed to you.

Members are also reminded that only ONE craft can be launched at a time on your security tag and that it is the responsibility of members to re-lock the chain on the ramp after launching or recovering their craft.

It is an offence for a member to “lend” their security tag to anyone to enable them to launch a craft.

Happy Hour (2017/02/05)

Happy Hour is held every Saturday at 1800 hours (Except on event nights)

As a trial for the Saturday Happy Hour we are going to have food or a light meal every 2nd Saturday of each month, except on event nights. The Social Subcommittee will provide food on occasions, and other nights we shall organise to purchase pizzas or arrange catering e.g. souvlakia, or just a great old Aussie BBQ. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Of course you can  come along and BYO food. There may be a small cost, and at times we shall ask for people to bring along a salad, etc.

BYO nibbles and drinks, or purchase the latter at the servery.

Bring along family and/or friends to show them our impressive club.

There is no need to send an email if you are not affected.

‘Quarterly’ Magazine Deadline (2016/11/3)

The deadline for the ‘Quarterly’ reports and articles is Friday, November 11.  Please have all content emailed to editor@nys.org.au by that date.

Please consider contributing to our magazine.  Members are interested in what others are doing with their boats.  If you’ve been away on a boating / fishing adventure, why not share your experience?  But your contribution doesn’t have to be about something out of the ordinary – or of seas far away.  Many interesting and topical happenings occur right here: at the club, in Western Port.  Let’s share those, too.

Keys no longer operational (2016/11/2)

Members are advised that they now need to use their access tags to enter any door and gate at the clubhouse.
Please note that keys will no longer work.
