With the boat show season now in full swing and a highly successful Melbourne boat show winding up yesterday, all thoughts now turn to Sydney in early August followed by Perth in September. Haven’t seen the final numbers for Melbourne as yet, but initial reports are that it was a successful show and we’ll bring you more details as they come to hand.
A jam packed edition this time around with a host of new boat model releases including both sail and power. News too that Volvo Penta have released a new hybrid marine propulsion system designed to allow boats to operate in low and zero emission zones. Coupled with Volvo Penta’s earlier announcement (in this edition) releasing details on an exciting, new, advanced self-docking solution, targeted for launch in 2020, seems there’s plenty happening there in terms of innovation.
Plenty of other news this time around with another bumper edition, including the announcement of a new CEO at Dalbora Marinas, a change of management at Marina Yarras Edge (Marina YE) in Melbourne’s docklands and an announcement that construction has begun on a new marina at Shell Cove on the NSW south coast.
Rather than going on about what else is in this edition, I should just say there’s an eclectic mix of news, about everything marine, from right around the country, so sit back, browse through and enjoy the read.
Cheers, see you out on the water
