Kids Sailing Sailability Dinghies

We have found that our special Sailability sailing dinghies are most suitable for beginner sailors. These small, stable boats are a great way to learn sailing – as has been demonstrated by students from local primary schools.

Newhaven Yacht Squadron invites all members of the public to the opportunity to ‘have a go at sailing’, on Monday 21 January – subject to suitable weather forecasts.

Life jackets will be provided; but you can bring your own if you have one. 2 motor safety boats accompany and support the dinghies.

A parent or grandparent will need to accompany each child.

The best age to start is 10+ years old. Younger kids will get a ride in the safety boats.

It is essential that you register your interest with Alen Garrett at email sailability@nys.org.au . Alen will contact you a day or so before, once the weather is ‘known’, to confirm the event.
