Fishing

The club’s fleet includes many boats geared up for fishing success.  Competitions and social outings take place year-round, and chase the popular Westernport species including King George Whiting, Gummy Shark, Snapper, Calamari, and Flathead.  There are a number of members who also head off-shore to try their luck during the Kingfish and Tuna seasons. The Squadron also support the local disability community by arranging fishing trips on member boats or, if the weather is not good enough, fishing sessions at the marina.

There is a fishing WhatsApp group which many members have joined.  Interested members can contact communications@nys.org.au for more information.
