NYS Around the Island Race 2016
The event that most Newhaven Yacht Club sailors look forward to is the Around the Island Race. This event is around Phillip Island, and includes an Around the Island race and also a Half Island Race.
This year the race is on Saturday December 3, and briefing is at 0800. The race will start just before low tide. This event requires boats to satisfy Category 4; and skippers are reminded to book a Safety Audit with the Safety Officer well before the race.
The Half Island Race will be run at the same time with briefing also at 0800.
